The Mother Art Blog
This blog is to document the space of mothering that I have been engaged with over the past few years. Each post will roughly follow the same format. I plan to create 26 posts for each letter of the alphabet. I have been creating an animal alphabet for my children’s bedroom. I will post three poems each blog entry, which is the most important aspect of this blog for me, since the poems document the emotional terrain of mothering, so often not articulated at the level of cultural discourse. Also, the blog will include photographs of my family, home, and children’s art/activities. Lastly, I will post my dolls and doll collages towards a forthcoming exhibition.
